Together, we contributed to the release of Sylius 1.0, the first stable version of the platform. This milestone marked a significant achievement in the world of open-source e-commerce. Tim led its official marketing campaign while Łukasz and Mateusz were its main developers among first employees of the newly bootstrapped Sylius product company.

We supported Sylius through rapid growth, helping launch and scale the Solution Partner Program (from 0 to 65 agencies and from 0 to around 200 developers trained all over Europe until 2022). This year, we were also joined by Szymon - the first and only Sylius frontend developer who among many things, was solely responsible for a few versions of Sylius administration panel, including the new one based on Bootstrap. Szymon is still with us in Commerce Weavers today.

Played a key role in the introduction of three crucial projects:

• Sylius Plus, a commercial edition that quickly gained traction with early adopters, offering advanced features and enterprise-level support

Łukasz started the gigantic effort of integrating two major Symfony-based frameworks - API Platform and Sylius, making an unprecedented collaboration in the PHP ecosystem. While the COVID-19 pandemics stroke, Tim secured first Sylius Plus deals with well-known companies of 9 digit revenues, and signed strategic technological partnerships with fintech giants - PayPal, and Mollie.

We celebrated as Sylius reached the incredible milestone of 1 million installs of the "sylius/sylius" package - a testament to the platform's growing impact and our hard work. Tim hired the first French Sylius Country Manager, Kevin, who led expotential regional business growth from Lyon.

Our dream - SyliusCon, the first global conference dedicated entirely to the Sylius ecosystem - was organised with our bare hands (with a “little”=big help from our colleage Aldona!). It brought together a diverse and engaged community from around the world, and finally established Sylius “physical” presence at our home market - Poland. The event was also the spectacular end of our watch as we formally spined off to Commerce Weavers on December 22, 2022.

We re-hired our first employees Kevin and Jacob (they had already joined us at the previous company a year before). Both were Sylius Core Team Members. You might especially recognise Jacob from his very intensive contribution to the Sylius core in 2023, when we were already busy working for our new agency clients

After a few minor code contributions we realised we are no longer capable of effective work on the product itself. The change was permanent - we pursue a client-first business now, and there’s a new Sylius leadership. That being said, with the historical Sylius 2.0 release at the end of the year, we decided to leave both Core Team and partnership, and remain true and fair, giving space for others to flourish.

Our Sylius journey continues. 10 years are behind us but we look to the future with much excitement, hoping for an even better next 10 years to come. Sylius is still our core technology. We are happy to implement it every day on really challenging and astonishing projects, and we don’t see any reason to change it any time soon.
